Terms and
conditions.
The ground rules for using Ad Block Streaming, written for a project that aims to stay useful, honest, and free.
The privacy policy describes the supplied extension's telemetry and ad preferences.
At a glance
Ad Block Streaming is a browser extension and website created to reduce unwanted ads, pop-ups, deceptive buttons, and tracking requests. It is a fan project, built for worldwide use where local law permits. The extension is intended to remain free to use. Blocking results differ from site to site, and no blocker can catch every ad.
1. Agreement to these terms
These terms apply when you visit the Ad Block Streaming website or install and use the extension. Please read them together with our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the extension; you can remove it through your browser at any time.
If local law gives you rights that these terms cannot limit, those rights continue to apply.
2. Your worldwide licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free licence to install and use the extension worldwide, wherever it is lawful, for its intended ad-blocking purpose. The licence does not transfer ownership of the extension, its branding, or its original content to you.
The extension's availability and functions may depend on the browser and version you use. The planned installation channel is the Chrome Web Store; support for other browsers is not promised by these terms.
3. Free forever
Ad Block Streaming was started as a fan project. Its core blocking functionality will remain free to install and use, without a required subscription or purchase. This promise concerns the price of the extension; it is not a guarantee that every feature or third-party website will remain available forever.
There are no payments or subscriptions. In selected markets in North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific, some ads may be allowed and we may receive a share of revenue. The acceptable-ads preference is on by default in the supplied build. You can change it in settings; its filtering effect depends on server-supplied rules and does not independently remove all bundled exceptions. See the privacy policy for details.
4. What the extension can and cannot do
We work on blocking rules regularly, including new pop-up URLs used by ad networks. Websites can change their code, domains, and ad delivery at any time. The extension cannot be expected to block 100% of ads, trackers, pop-ups, or redirects on every page.
Blocking can sometimes hide a page element you wanted or affect a website's normal functions. If that happens, you can turn protection off for the page or disable or remove the extension using your browser controls. You remain responsible for checking the page and the actions you take there.
5. Responsible use
Use the extension and website lawfully. Do not try to disrupt the extension's update service, interfere with another user's access, exploit a security weakness, or use the project to violate someone else's rights. Nothing here gives you permission to access content you are not otherwise allowed to access.
6. Independent websites and content
Streaming, anime, download, and gaming websites named on this site are independent third parties. Ad Block Streaming does not host their content, control their availability, grant access to it, or represent that it is legal in every place. Their own terms and local law may apply to your use of them.
Names and logos appear only to explain compatibility. They do not imply a partnership, endorsement, or sponsorship.
7. Updates and availability
We may update blocking rules and extension code to respond to changing sites, improve reliability, and fix problems. An update may change how a page looks or behaves. We aim to keep the project available, but cannot promise uninterrupted operation or support for every browser version or website.
8. Ownership
Ad Block Streaming owns or licenses its original website design, extension code, name, and brand assets, except for third-party names, logos, software, and content. Third-party marks remain with their respective owners. Any open-source components keep their own licence terms.
9. Privacy
Our privacy policy explains extension permissions, installation identity, domain telemetry, device fingerprint signals, local and Chrome-synchronized storage, and website and contact data. Please review it before using the extension. Advertising preferences and per-site pauses do not stop telemetry; disabling or removing the extension stops its ongoing activity. Accepting these terms is not a substitute for consent where applicable law requires it.
10. Warranties and liability
To the extent allowed by applicable law, the website and extension are provided without a promise that they will be error-free, continuously available, or suitable for every site or purpose. We do not promise complete blocking or uninterrupted access to any third-party page.
To the extent allowed by applicable law, Ad Block Streaming is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the extension or website. This section does not exclude liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms as the project develops. The date at the top will change when we do. If a change materially affects users, we will provide additional notice where appropriate. The version in effect when you use the service applies, subject to mandatory local law.
12. Law and contact
The operator is Ad Block Streaming, at Pl. Numa-Droz 2, Neuchâtel, 2000, Switzerland. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to mandatory laws and consumer protections in your location. Nothing here removes any right to bring a claim in a court available to you under mandatory local law.
